"Education is that whole system of human training within and without the school house walls, which molds and develops men and women."

Welcome!

The need for effective outreach to prepare school aged students for higher education is vital to the families, communities and economic development of all stakeholders in the San Joaquin Valley.  Guiding our youth through the challenges they face, while helping them take advantage of the opportunities that exist in their young lives, is the responsibility of the entire community. It is our responsibility as parents, counselors, teachers, principals, school administrators, politicians, business owners, organizations, congregations and others to take a vital role in preparing our future generation.

Early intervention has been found to be one of the most effective strategies in preventing students from falling into academic jeopardy. This is based on the premise that if a student receives assistance early, is referred to appropriate academic support services, and is mentored and energized by someone they trust, that student and his or her parents can more easily reach a positive outcome. Parents and others must also be educated in all aspects of financial aid, including the application process, grants, loans, payment plans, and expected family contributions. It is imperative that we maximize resources and aggressively penetrate communities that are seriously underserved. We must enhance student success and increase parents' awareness about academic, social and financial support that will guide them though the educational pipeline.
